Our Team

AK began in 2012 without much planning – a casual way to share some personal insights. That was it. But, on May 15th, everything changed. In one day, the first Asperkids book was released, AND Jennifer was awarded BOTH the Temple Grandin Award for Outstanding Global Contribution AND the GRASP DM Medal. Something big was starting, it seemed, and that something would require a lot more help.

Two-and-a-half years later, we are “Our Team.” Four crazy-busy gals on two continents, trying to juggle multiple careers, inboxes, time zones, and ten kids among us. We firmly believe in the therapeutic power of frozen beverages with little umbrellas, in actually telling one another when somebody has lipstick on her tooth, and in backyard trampolines (theoretically for sensory-seeking children….but equally important for their moms). We’ll do our best to make sure you feel like one of us, because the truth is that yes, we are each on our own journey. But none of us has to travel alone.

Jennifer is the idea girl. Author, advocate. The imaginating force at the heart of everything AK.

Guilty Pleasure: Salt-n-vinegar potato chips & “How I Met Your Mother” reruns.

KimKimberly is the liaison with therapists and schools, spreading AK’s original innovations to kids around the globe. (BTW: If your catalog, business, site, or practice wants to be one of our select partners, this is the gal to contact!)
Guilty Pleasure:Tea, travel, and fuzzy socks.

Anne JensenAn Aspie & mom in Denmark, Anne knew most spectrum resources only existed in English, which didn’t help her kids! So, Momma went into action, coordinating Danish & British AK publishers, and even translated the “Rule Book” herself. Spread the AK word in any language; Anne will be your guide.
Guilty Pleasure:Attending boy band concerts to “keep her teen daughter company.” (SURE, Anne!)
