DISCOVERING YOURSELF SHOULD BE A CELEBRATION

Whether the title is new or well-worn, being an “Asperkid” is cause for a celebration. The party begins when this box of Awesome arrives on your doorstep.  It’s a handpicked explosion of pride, fun and Aspie fabulosity, designed to appeal to an Asperkid’s senses and sense-of-self. We have to admit. We think it’s pretty one-of-a-kind fantastic. Just like our kids.

What happens when you order? The celebration starts immediately.

When you place your order, Asperkids will email a video message to you (within 24 hours / next business day) from Asperkids Author & Creator, Jennifer O’Toole. She’s funny. She’s honest. And as an Aspie, she’s talking from a lifetime of experience.

And it only gets better from there. Once you’ve received the kit, take a photo of your Asperkid wearing the T-shirt. Email the picture to kits@asperkids.com, and we will post it on Asperkids’ Award-Winning Facebook page for your Asperkid to receive CONGRATULATIONS messages from around the world (This is really just the coolest thing EVER.)

So what are you waiting for? Let’s do this thing!

Happy Kids | Congratulations! You’re an Asperkid!

“I wanted to say Thank You for the awesome Asperkids kit that arrived today!  Joey was thrilled and was oohing and aahing with every thing he pulled out!  Everything was very cool and he put the shirt on right away!  We played a game of swish, even though he really wasn’t interested (he never wants to play card games or board games).  I think I have him convinced to try taking it to his social therapy group to play with the other boys.  Thank you once again, he is so excited to be part of this awesome club!!”

Theresa & Joey Flynn

After opening the package and removing the confetti he notice a bright yellow shirt. On the front upper corner it read, Let’s be different together and on the back… Asperkids, AMBASSADORS OF awesomess.
Let’s just say, he LOVES it and couldn’t agree more with the message! I’m thinking mom and dad need one of these too now!

Me and “My” Professor

“Coooooooolll!!”
“the best thing evvvvvver!!”
“more awesome than all the awesome in the world!!”

These are just SOME of the comments we have been hearing in the past few days, since Joseph received his “congratulations your Asperkid” package.

But the best review? Other than the smile on his face….

“to receive these things from a grown up who knows what its like in my head, is the best thing ever”

    (verified owner):

The biggest of the mountain of fears we experienced when our 8 year old boy was diagnosed with Autism was that the label would make him feel “less than.” I can’t count how many nights I cried myself to sleep worrying about how or even whether to tell him of his diagnosis.

Then we stumbled upon Asperkids.com. We ordered the “Congratulations! You’re an Asperkid!” Kit and planned to break the news as soon as the kit arrived. In the meantime, I developed a script of how the conversation should go, including counterpoints to any negative reactions.

But let me tell you: I went from scared to death to feeling like things are going to be ok in the 5 seconds it took for my boy to start going through the box smiling, clapping and celebrating his awesome brain!

He loves every single item in his box! He snuggles his plush Streptococcus Pyogenes each night. His head and back tickles must now be done with his Knot Genie. (Yes, his hair is cut in a buzz, but that Knot Genie feels sooo good even in the absence of knots!) His Wiki Stix are out at least once a day (Daddy loves to play with them, too). He could not wait to post his picture, wearing his “Ambassador of Awesomeness” T-shirt, on the Asperkids Facebook page and he LOVED reading all the messages of congratulations other Aspies posted for him. His second day as an official Asperkid, he even sent himself to his room mid-wind-up-to-a-meltdown to relax by watching the blue and green bubbles in his “stress reliever” – thereby avoiding the meltdown! Score!

All the “stuff” in the “Contratulations! You’re an Asperkid!” box is great, yes, but the very best part – the part that makes this kit’s worth immeasurable – is the pride and acceptance my boy feels in being an Asperkid. He is NOT less than: he belongs and of that he has no doubt.
